Prior to a career in finance, Jerome studied English Literature at Dalton State College. He then taught English at Cheongdo Elementary School in South Korea through the Teach and Learn in Korea (TaLK) program, where he received an award for Model Lesson Planning. Upon returning to the U.S., he worked as an English grammar and literature tutor for private high school students in Chattanooga, specializing in SAT test preparation. He has also served as a mentor for students at Battle Academy in Chattanooga.

Originally from New York City, Jerome has found a deep appreciation for Chattanooga’s natural beauty and outdoor activities. His passions include hiking and camping with his two rescue dogs, Porter and Penny, as well as practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, golfing, and reading. Jerome has also been actively involved in the community, serving on the board of the Northside Neighborhood House (NNH), which promotes the independence of North Chattanooga residents through education and assistance programs.
