What to Expect During New Client Onboarding

Our Collaboration Process with You During Onboarding

By clearly outlining these steps, we aim to provide a seamless and transparent onboarding experience, ensuring your financial goals are understood and prioritized from the very beginning.

1. Initial Meetings and Discovery

We will have several initial meetings to get to know you and understand your financial goals. This discovery phase involves gathering comprehensive information to create a personalized financial plan. 

2. Meet Your Team

Early in the Onboarding stage, you will be introduced to a dedicated team that fits your specific needs. This team will be established and introduced to you prior to completing the onboarding process, and typically earlier in the process. We will provide clear information on who to contact within our team for different needs and questions, ensuring you have reliable support.

3. Investment Objectives

We will guide you through the process of defining and setting your investment objectives, ensuring they are customized to your specific financial situation.

4. Setting Up Your Accounts

We will assist you in setting up logins for the Schwab website and the Acumen client portal, ensuring you have easy access to your accounts.

5. Asset Transfer Coordination

We will collaborate with your current advisor or custodian to ensure a smooth transfer of your assets to our management.

6. Newly Established Account Meeting.

Once your assets have been transferred and Acumen begins to trade your account, we will set up a meeting to review your new accounts and investments. We may also use this meeting to continue discussing your financial plan. We follow up our meetings outlining action steps that will be taken by Acumen and actions steps for you, if applicable. Our goal is for you to leave any meeting knowing what is going to happen next.

7. Ongoing Meetings and Updates

After the initial meetings, we will establish a regular meeting schedule, typically annual or semi-annual, with periodic updates as needed to keep your financial plan on track.
